Mr. Muthukumar is a Life-Science expert, passionate in making and exploring niche diagnostics products. He is an influential professional having over two decades of extensive expertise in the biopharma sector. Through his sharp entrepreneurial acumen and creative thinking, he has led, grown, and nurtured organisations. He is widely acknowledged as a passionate bio-science products marketer and delivering value to all stakeholders. He is a focused professional with a solid balance of a broad vision and attention to detail.
Mr. Muthukumar earned his Master’ degree in Biochemistry from University of Madras.
A regulatory expert with a rich experience and proven track record of marketing pharma products to international markets including Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Papua New Guinea and Fiji, Inder Mohan Singh Anandi has an experience of 20 years through exploration of regulated and semi-regulated markets and explores all possibilities of regulatory certifications across the globe for pharma and other pharmaceutical products.
Dr. Nand Kishore Khandelwal brings over 33 years of experience in Quality and Regulatory Operations, serving multiple global life science companies as a consultant, advisor, and also held leadership roles in India’s leading life sciences companies.
He brings deep expertise in regulatory compliance, developing quality management systems, implementation of cGMP practices, managing complex transformations, and helping meet FDA approvals. He advised and developed remediation strategies to address FDA warning letters and implemented continuous improvement programs to transform quality and compliance.
Dr. J. P. Prasad, Ex-Deputy Director (Quality control), National Institute of Biologicals (NIB), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of India has a vast experience of more than 30 years in the field of quality control of Biologicals. He is one of the founder scientists, who had actively contributed to the establishment of various quality control laboratories of NIB which were the first of its kind in the country.
Dr. Prasad during his tenure at NIB, had been a notified Government analyst for testing of Plasma derived products and Blood grouping reagents as well as a medical device testing officer. He was also Notified as an Appellate Authority to sign the Certificate of Analysis on behalf of the Director, National Institute of Biologicals vide respective Gazette notification.
In the capacity of Quality manager-NIB, Dr. Prasad led the institute to obtain accreditations for ISO /IEC: 17025: 2005 and OHSAS 18001:2007 certification.
His contribution to developing international best practices in the field of biologicals is marked by the invited lectures at the conference organized by the World Health Organization, WHO- Head Quarter, Appia, Geneva, Switzerland, and the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS), South Korea. His specialized training in the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Baltimore, Maryland, U.S.A, Ortho Clinical Diagnostics Manufacturing Unit at Raritan, New Jersey, USA and American Red Cross Society (ARCS), Philadelphia, USA has paved the way for the establishment of quality control strategies during the initial development of the institute. Under his guidance, the institute participated successfully in various international proficiency testing schemes and collaborative studies for developing WHO International Reference Standards for Biologicals.
Dr. Prasad’s significant contributions to strengthening the regulatory system of the country are noted by his active participation in GMP inspections of manufacturing units for grant of license, development of monographs for various biologicals for inclusion in Indian Pharmacopoeia and as a member of various expert committees for developing strategies and policies to improve the quality standards of the biologicals.
Innovations and continuous improvement being a dynamic activities in enhancing the quality of biologicals to safeguard the public of India, Dr. Prasad was involved in research and development activities and has more than 25 publications in various peer-reviewed national and international journals.
Being the core member of developing a Centralized Hemovigilance Program of India, Dr. Prasad along with the other members has been instrumental in launching this nationwide program for the first time in the country. He has contributed to developing awareness programs and CMEs for Healthcare professionals in blood banking services.
With his vast and diverse domain expertise in the field of biologicals viz regulations, technical, scientific, policy development, quality management, audits, inspections, national & international collaborations, research, etc. Dr. Prasad is engaged in disseminating knowledge and enhancing the skills of students / researchers / professionals and regulators as an active mentor in various national and international training programs. Apart from this, he has been an examiner for the evaluation of the Ph.D. thesis and viva-voce for the award of a Ph.D. degree and has delivered lectures as well as participated as an expert panel member in national and international scientific forums.
His active leadership notes Dr Prasad’s administrative capabilities in the capacity of Budget and Finance Officer Procurement Officer, Administrative Officer, and Deputy Director (Quality Control) during his tenure at NIB.
Prof. M. A. Vijayalakshmi is Director of CBST VIT University. With her basic education in Chemistry, from All India Institute of Chemistry, Calcutta in 1966, Prof Vijayalakshmi obtained a PhD from University de Bourgogne, Dijon, France in 1974.
She was awarded “CHEVALLIER de PALMES ACADEMIQUES” France in 2005. She received the prestigious “PIERCE AWARD” instituted by the International Society for Molecular Recognition (USA), in 1999 for outstanding achievements in the field of Affinity Technology and Bio-recognition at the International Level. She was selected by the Indian Government as the best young scientist from India to meet the Prime Minister during her visit to France in 1981. She holds more than 150 publications and 7 patents to her credit, all dealing with pseudo biospecific affinity systems. She has been invited to present many plenary lectures and to serve as Chairperson of scientific sessions at major international conferences and symposia.
C.S.Venkatesan, is a synthetic organic chemist with over thirty years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. He has worked at various positions in Research & Development divisions and was the Senior Vice-President – R&D at Gland Pharma Ltd, India. Currently, he has established a firm called “CSV Pharma Solutions” and providing scientific advice to a few leading pharma companies. His expertise is synthesis and characterization of complex drug substances. He served as a member of the USP Committee of Experts—LMWH (Low Molecular Weight Heparin) for 10 years.
